Supporting local rugby union players

Leading allied health services provider, Coast Sport has been selected to provide sports coverage for the Ourimbah Razorbacks. Adding Rugby Union to their growing list of sporting disciplines for local clubs and organisations, the sports passionate team at Coast Sport will provide comprehensive coverage for players throughout the 2018 season and beyond.
The mighty Razorbacks were formed in 1981 and participate in the Central Coast Rugby Competition. With the aim to field teams in every age group from the under 7s to under 17s in the Juniors and in the Seniors Colts, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. In 2018 the Razorbacks also hope to field women’s and girls’ teams as they continue to expand and grow rugby in the community.
According to Razorbacks Senior Vice President, Michael Middleton “we are a family friendly club with a strong social scene off the field. On the field we have a proud tradition of hard, entertaining rugby”. Middleton goes on to state “we play a unique style that is fun and dynamic, and our dedicated coaching staff work to develop players and participants on and off the field”.
Located at the “Ourimbah Rugby Park”, in the grounds of the Ourimbah University Campus at No.10 Chittaway Road, Ourimbah, the facilities are self-funded and maintained through volunteer labour. “With the support of our sponsors we help fill some of the gaps in community needs outside rugby where we can”, says Middleton.
In 2017 the Razorbacks managed to secure all senior teams and three junior teams into the Grand Finals and were also named CCRU club of the year. With the help of Coast Sport, in 2018 they plan to better this achievement. With a heavy commitment to supporting junior and senior representative programmes and helping members advance themselves where ever possible, the team at Coast Sport will be actively involved in helping to keep players in tip top condition.
Director and Physiotherapist at Coast Sport, Brett Doring is “excited by the new partnership and is looking forward to servicing the local players and assisting with their performance”. The Coast Sport team “will be onsite at home games providing strapping, first aid and physiotherapy assistance” mentions Doring and “we will also be looking after players off the field at our state- of- the- art clinic in Tuggerah, supporting with all modalities including Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Massage, Sports Nutrition and Exercise Physiology”.
Located in the Mariners Centre of Excellence Building in Tuggerah, Coast Sport is a leader in the provision of allied health services to Central Coast communities. The team at Coast Sport work closely with many elite sporting teams and organisations including the Australian Dolphins Swim team, Central Coast Academy of Sport, Central Coast Mariners FC & Academy, Central Coast Heart Netball, Central Coast Crusaders, NSW Basketball, Wyong Lakes Australian Rules Football Club and more.
